South Sudan beat Somalia 2-0 to reach the second round of the 2018 African Nations Championship qualifiers on 4-1 aggregate on Sunday.

The second leg first round match of the Central – East qualifying zone was played at the Juba Stadium in Juba.

Wurube Robert netted the opener in the 53rd minute with veteran forward James Moga adding the second in the 69th minute.

Moga was also on target in the 2-1 first leg win a week back in Djibouti.

The Bright Stars will now face Uganda in the second round on July 14th, with the first leg taking place in Juba.

Three teams, including hosts Kenya, will qualify for the continental showpiece from the zone.
