Sportpesa Super 8 PL – Unbeaten Metro Sports win Drive Inn thriller, TUK annihilate Shamako

Sportpesa Super 8 PL – Unbeaten Metro Sports win Drive Inn thriller, TUK annihilate Shamako

Metro Sports 3-2 Kabete United

East Conference big shots Metro Sports dislodged fellow Easterners Jericho All Stars at the top of the Sportpesa Super League log with a 3-2 win against Kabete United.

The enthralling tie was staged at Drive Inn and as was expected goals reigned with the visitors emerging winners having placed three past Kabete.

Kabete came into the match against the back drop of a 3-1 thrashing of Shauri Moyo over the Easter while Metro drew a midweek tie 1-1 versus Koyole Asubuhi on Wednesday, and they needed to bounce back in style which they did.

The three points take Metros’ tally to 22, and are sure to remain at the top regardless of how second placed Jericho All Stars play today.

Shamako Babes 1-5 TUK

At ACK Kabete Technical, University students TUK got back their winning formula with a 5-1 obliteration of Shamako Babes.

TUK were held to a 1-1 draw in another midweek match on Wednesday while Kiambiu were smarting from a 1-0 loss to Kayole Asubuhi over Easter.

The win is TUK’s 4th – they are now placed 5th with 14 points with a match at hand.

Kiamaiko City 1-0 Baba Dogo

Kiamaiko put aside their disappointment against Kawangware on Easter Monday to grind a 1-0 victory over Baba at Camp Toyoyo.

The Citizens fell heavily (4-2) to Kawangware – a humiliation they needed to forget. Kiamaiko are now 13th with ten points while Baba are 10th with 12 points.

The league continues today so get out and #WakilishaMtaaYako
