SportPesa Super 8 Premier League enters week 18 starting Saturday with eyes firmly trailed on the title race.

Having closed in on leaders Jericho All Stars by midweek Wednesday, on form Kayole Asubuhi will be gunning for the top spot with a win against flip flops Metro Sports. Jericho on the other hand will be hoping to hold on to their points difference lead with a victory over unpredictable Kabete United.

At the bottom part of the log, relegation favourites, Kiamaiko City and Shamako Babes will be fighting for their top league status.

SATURDAY

KIAMAIKO CITY VS SHAMAKO BABES

Kiamaiko City takes on relegation bound Shamako Babes on Saturday 25 June at Huruma grounds from 3pm.
The two West conference sides are fighting for survival at the basement end of the SPS8 grid.

Kiamaiko are heading into this game with a 3-2 first leg advantage over Shamako who are languishing at the end of the table with a paltry five points. Shamako Babes have won only one match out of 17 they have played while conceding 47 goals in the process.

Kiamaiko on the other end are two spots above their opponents on 13th position having accumulated 17 points so far and will be keen to use their home ground advantage to outsmart the competitions minnows.

SUNDAY

MASA VS MELTA KABIRIA

Fireworks are expected to spark at Nyayo Stadium when MASA clashes with West siders Melta Kabiria on Sunday 26 June from 3pm.

The Makongeni based outfit has been on fine form in the second leg. They will be gunning for their third consecutive victory after beating Diguna 2-0 and last weekend they sliced Shauri Moyo Blue Stars 1-0 placing them 7th on the log with 25 points.

Melta are currently 11th with 18 points and will have a tough duty to overturn a 2-1 first-leg loss against the East conference team.

KABETE UNITED VS JERICHO ALL STARS

Kabete United face a tough hurdle when they welcome East conference powerhouse Jericho All Stars in a desperate bid to overturn a 2-1 loss first leg score line at Nyayo Stadium.

Kabete are struggling to get their act together in the second leg where they are placed 10th on the log with 21 points. They will have to put in extra effort in order to overcome mighty All stars who are oozing with astonishing confidence as they are commanding the league table standings with 36 points.

KAWANGWARE UNITED VS SHAURI MOYO BLUE STARS

Kawangware United will host Shauri Moyo Blue Stars at BP grounds in Dagoretti from 3pm.

Shauri Moyo scored the winning goal late in the first leg encounter at home to take a 4-3 win against the West siders who will be taking a long shot to gun down the visitors.

Blue Stars are 4th on the table standings with 30 points while Kawangware are struggling at the second from below on the table with 16 points.

BABA DOGO UNITED VS AJAX FC

After a devastating 6-2 whipping by TUK last Saturday, Baba Dogo United are looking to right their wrongs when they host Ajax Fc at Baba Dogo grounds at 3pm.

Baba Dogo defeated Ajax 2-1 in their earlier fixture away and will be keen to repeat the same performance against the West siders who are currently placed 5th with 27 points.

Baba Dogo are 12th on the log with 17 points.

DIGUNA FC VS KIAMBIU YOUTH

Diguna FC will be at home against Kiambiu Youth at Nakeel grounds from 3pm.

Going into the match with a 2-1 first leg win, Kiambiu have an upper hand advantage but will be wary of the hosts who are a point ahead on the league table standings at eighth with 24 points.

KAYOLE ASUBUHI VS METRO SPORTS

In another explosive match, second placed Kayole Asubuhi face off with Metro Sports at Camp Toyoyo from 3pm.

Asubuhi are riding high on fine form and are closely keeping the top spot within their sight as they are sitting pretty with 35 points, a point shy of the league leaders.
But they face a herculean test in Metro Sports whom they drew with 1-1 when they met in the first leg and a lot has changed as the latter are at a distant sixth with 27 points on the standings.
