St. George host Welayta Dicha in the Ethiopian Premier League Week 7 today as they desperately seek to bounce back to winning ways in fourth attempt.

The horsemen settled for a barren draw away to Sidama Coffee last week – prolonging their winless streak to three matches, and were hard pressed to explain the dip in form to angry fans who blocked their exit from Yirgalem Stadium.

They come up against a stubborn Welayta who narrowly missed three points against Ethiopian Coffee in their last outing in a 1-1 draw in Sodo, and will have to give a better account of themselves to pick a win.

The Coach Martin Noolj’s outfit, currently top of the table standings on goal difference, could see their six-week reign come to a halt if they fail to pick maximum points, with either Dedebit FC, Sidama Coffee and Adama, also on 11 points, getting wins in their respective ties.

A win for 5th placed Welayta Dicha could move them third on the log with 11 points.

Ethiopian Coffee, with just a single win so far, will play Dire Dawa at Abebe Bikila Stadium Sunday.

The Coffee makers, placed 13th in the 16-team league need to win to move away from the red line.

They will also need a morale booster heading into the Sheger Derby next neek.

Fasil Kenema travel to Jimma to face Jimma Aba Bunna also Sunday.

The Emperors are still without their head coach Zimariam who is recovering after a successful surgery in Thailand last week.
