The first round of the TNM Super League 2016 season was concluded on Sunday 14/08/2016. Nyasa Big Bullets from this point cease to be reigning champions but will now be defending champions. Blue Eagles have finished the round at the apex with 32 point.

294 goals have been scored. The law enforcers have also been the highest scoring team after pumping in 29 goals. Azam Tigers also nicknamed Kau Kau have had the most stubborn backline after letting in only 9 goals. Rookies MTV Max Bullets are having the most porous defense since it has let their goal minders collect the ball from behind the goal line 32 times.

Dwangwa United have yet to register a win at home while Kamuzu Barracks, Wizards F.C, Karonga United and MTV Max Bullets have not been victorious away. Blue Eagles, Mafco, Moyale, Kamuzu Barracks and Nyasa Big Bullets have heavily fortified their own fortresses since they have yet to be breached this far. The Nomads have been good travelers since they are yet to lose away. With 7 draws Kamuzu Barracks are the draw specialist.

Stevie Msiska of Karonga United and Stevie Chagoma of Blue Eagles have borh been the unlucky ones to score past their own goalkeepers . Maxwell Salambula twice, Peter Wadabwa, Anthony Banda and Gastin Simkonda have managed to score hat tricks in the elite league so far. Richard Mbulu of Mafco and Peter Wadabwa of Be Forward Wanderers are the top scorers with 11 goals each.

282 cards have this far being flashed of which 14 have been red cards. Mzuni F.C have accumulated the most cards (31) of which two are red and are followed by Red Lions with 27 cards (2 red). MTV Max Bullets have the least cards only 7. Timothy Chitedze has been shown the most cards (7) followed by Chikoti Chirwa (6) and Ntopijo Njewa (5).

Gilbert Chirwa of Blue Eagles was player of the month of April 2016, Lughindiko Mushani of Mzuni F.C was player of the month of May 2016, Thuso Paipi of Silver Strikers was player of the month of June 2016 and Peter Wadabwa was player of the month of July 2016.
