John Stewart Hall has been appointed new coach of Kenyan premier league giants AFC Leopards for a period of two years, the club has confirmed.

Hall arrives in the country Wednesday, October 26, to replace Belgian Ivan Minnaert who was sacked early September for “poor performance.”

“After lengthy and rigorous exercise, the National Executive Committee has appointed Mr. Stewart Hall as the head coach of AFC Leopards for a period of two years,” the club confirmed on their official Facebook page.

He will be given freehand to pick technical bench members to work with.

Hall, a former director of Birmingham City FC Academy, is not new to KPL. In 2012, he briefly managed 2009 champions Sofapaka before resigning in a huff, seven weeks after taking over on September 12, to return to his former employers, Tanzania moneybags, Azam FC for a second stint.

Prior to joining Azam in 2010, Hall, who helped the ice cream makers bag maiden CECAFA Kagame cup in 2015, shortly took the reins at Zanzibar national team.
