Rwandan international Ernest Sugira has re-united with APR FC on a one-year deal from AS Vita Club.

Sugira, 26, ended his Vita sojourn four months to the end of his 18-month deal with the DR Congo giants and was a free agent.

He returns to the Rwandan Premier League record champions three years since he left them for AS Kigali in 2014.

The striker eschewed AS Kigali for Vita in May 2016. This was after an impressive CHAN 2016 outing in which he scored three goals – guiding hosts Rwanda to the quarters.

Vita coach Florent Ibenge who also doubles up as DR Congo coach and met Rwanda in the quarterfinals was impressed by Sugira’s exploits and took him to the Kinshasa based side in a lucrative deal worth about $100,000.

Having clinched the 2017 Rwandan Peace Cup, APR are boosting their squad ahead of the CAF Confederations Cup campaign next year.

They are also gunning to reclaim the RPL title which Rayon Sports wrestled from them this year.
