The  champions were received at the Murtala Muhammad Airport by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick and other board members amid allegations of improper treatment from the soccer body officials before departure.

Reports from Nigeria indicate that the NFF officials came to Younde and left immediately aboard a chattered flight leaving the girls to travel by road to Doula without making a promise on when the players will be receiving their allowances.

Immediately after arrival in Lagos the soccer bosses led the team to visit the team sponsors Emzor Phamaceticals officials. After the meeting, the team was told to travel to Abuja to meet Sports Minister and the NFF for settling of their outstanding allowances.
