Tanzania-Simba reduces gap at the top as Stand shocks Prisons

The Tanzania Vodacom league entered match day seven with defending champions Yanga settling for a 1-1 with money bags Azam.

Simba SC reduced the gap between them and the leading teams to just one with Victory over Mbeya City.

Both teams maintain the top spot level on points with Yanga ahead on goal difference.

Mbeya City 0-1 Simba

Mbeya City’s poor run in the league continued with a home loss to Dar es Salaam giants Samba.Juuko Murshid scored the all important goal in the 3rd minute.The win sends the msimbazi based side to within a point of leaders Yanga and Azam.

Stand United 3-0 Tanzania Prisons

Stand United registered the biggest win over the weekend when it silenced rising Tanzania Prisons in a match played at the Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga Town.
Stand United’s Elias Maguri is now on the top scorers list having netted six times.

Ndanda FC 0-0 Toto Africans.

Mtwara based Ndanda FC failed to capitalize on home ground advantage when they were forced to a goalies draw by visiting Toto Africans in a match played at the Nagwanda Simmons stadium.Toto Africa maintains the eighth spot on 10 points with Ndanda remaining at the 11th spot on 6 points.

In other matches,Mtibwa Sugar continued with it’s fine run in the league when they beat Coastal Union 0-1 away in Tanga.The Pwani based side has not won any match so far and not even scored a single goal.
Majimaji FC beat African Sports by a similar margin at the majimaji stadium in Songea while

On Sunday 18th October Mwadui FC beat JKT Ruvu 2-1 at the Mwadui Sports Complex in Shinyanga while Mgambo JKT beat Kagera Sugar 2-0.

The league resumes on Wednesday 21st October with five matches on card followed by another three the following day.

Yanga will take on Toto Africans at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam while Stand United will welcome Majimaji FC at the Kambarage Stadium

Simba SC will be forced to camp in Mbeya as they are set to play Tanzania Prisons at the Sokoine Memorial stadium in Mbeya City.JKT Ruvu will welcome Mtibwa Sugar in Dar es Salaam while Coastal Union will welcome Kagera

On Thursday 22nd October Mwadui will play host to JKT Mambo at the Mwadui Complex while Mbeya City will entertain African Sports at the Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

The last match will be at the Nagwanda Sijaona stadium where Ndanda FC will battle Azam in Mtwara.
