Kikosi cha wachezaji 22 wa timu ya Tanzania ‘Taifa Stars’, kimeondoka leo Alhamisi Juni 22, 2017 kwenda Afrika Kusini katika michuano ya kuwania Kombe la Castle Cosafa.

 

Taifa Stars inayodhaminiwa na Bia ya Serengeti, ilikuwa kambini Hoteli ya Urban Rose, iliyoko Mtaa wa Jamhuri katikati ya jiji la Dar es Salaam, tangu Jumapili Juni 18, mwaka huu.

 

Taifa Stars imeandaliwa kwa michuano hiyo iliyoandaliwa na Baraza la Mpira wa Miguu la nchi za Kusini mwa Afrika. Tanzania si mwanachama wa Cosafa, lakini imealikwa katika mashindano hayo yanayotarajiwa kuanza Juni 25, mwaka huu.

 

Taifa Stars imepangwa kundi A na timu za Mauritius, Malawi na Angola wakati Kundi B ni Msumbiji, Shelisheli, Madagascar na Zimbabwe. Timu za Botswana, Zambia na Afrika Kusini kadhalika Namibia, Lesotho na Swaziland zitakuwa na mechi maalumu (play off) ili kuingia robo fainali.

 

Kwa mujibu wa Kocha Mkuu wa Taifa Stars, Salum Mayanga, kikosi kinachoondoka leo ni makipa Aishi Salum Manula  (Azam FC), Benno David Kakolanya  (Young Africans SC) na Said Mohammed Said (Mtibwa Sugar FC).

 

Walinzi wa pembeni upande wa kulia ni Shomari Salum Kapombe    (Azam FC) na Hassan Hamis Ramadhan ‘Kessy’ (Young Africans SC) wakati upande wa kushoto wapo Gadiel Michael (Azam FC) na Amim Abdulkarim (Toto Africans FC).

 

Walinzi wa kati ni Erasto Nyoni  (Azam FC), Salim Hassan Abdallah (Mtibwa Sugar), Abdi Banda (Simba SC) na Nurdin Chona (Tanzania Prisons) wakati viungo wa kuzuia kuwa ni Himid Mao (Azam FC) na Salmin Hoza wa Mbao FC.

 

Kadhalika wako viungo wa kushambulia ambao ni Mzamiru Yassin Selembe (Simba), Simon Happygod Msuva (Young Africans SC), Raphael Daudi (Mbeya City) na Shizza Ramadhani Kichuya (Simba SC).

 

Katika safu ya ushambuliaji wamo Thomas Emmanuel Ulimwengu (AFC Eskilstuna – Sweden), Mbaraka Abeid Yusufu (Kagera Sugar), Stamili Mbonde, Elius Maguli (Dhofar SC) na Shabani Idd Chilunda (Azam FC).
