Mwanahalima Dogo and Nuru Hadima’s goals were enough to bag three more points for Zone A run away leaders Thika Queens to complete a double over Gaspo Women in a 2-1 victory at the Ruiru grounds on Sunday.
Thika now stretch their lead atop to 27 points as Gaspo Women slip to third on 16 points after their loss. At the same time, Ulinzi Starlets climbed to second on 18 points after a convincing 4-1 win over Kayole Starlets at the Stima Members Club. Kayole remains in the safe zone in fourth with 13 points.
At the Ligi Ndogo grounds, Mathare United Women continued their resurgence with their first win of the season after a 2-1 win over Kibera Ladies. The Mary Adhiambo led charges still remain at the bottom with four points, one less than Makolanders. Kibera Ladies also retain sixth position with nine points and relegation is still a reality for both.
