Guinea beat Niger 3-1 at the Stade de I’Amitie, Libreville Sunday to finish third at the U17 African Nations Cup in Gabon.

After a barren first half dotted with missed chances from both sides, Guinea and tournament leading top scorer Toure cracked the puzzle – firing home a split pass in the 55th minute to make it 1-0.

The lead lasted seven minutes before Ibrahim leveled for Niger – slotting into an open net after a tantalizing interchange of passes.

Bah restored the lead in the 73rd minute – smashing a long speculative pass past Niger keeper, before Toure grabbed his brace two minutes later from a free-kick to take his tally in the tournament to six goals.

Both teams already booked their spots in the FIFA U17 World Cup in India later this year.
