TP Mazembe stunned ES Setif 4-1 in their 2018 Caf Champions League, Group B match at Stade du Mazembe in Lumbubashi, on Saturday.

A brace from Ben Ngita and a goal from Elia Meschack added to another strike from Nathan Sinkala, handed the Ravens a record win over Setif, who scored a consolation goal through Chemseddine Nessakh.

The hosts were the better side in the opening 10 minutes of the encounter as they played good crosses into the Setif box.

Ben Ngita scored his first goal on the 11 th minute when he connected with an inswinging shot from Glody Likonza and powered home under pressure from a group of Setif defenders.

A minute later the visitors got an equalizer through Chemseddinne Nessakh after Mazembe were caught offguard but Ngita took home team back into the lead with a well taken penalty on the 23rd minute.

Setif tried to find their second before the break and came close in the 38th minute when Samir Aiboud fired a 24-yard free-kick goalwards, but Sylvain produced a great save to deny him.

The half ended 2-1 in favour of the Mazembe.

The Ravens found their third goal thirteen minutes after the restart when Meschack Elia emphatically fired the ball home from 14-yards out after getting onto a cut-back to make it 3-1.

Mazembe extended their lead in the 82th minute when Nathan Sinkala was awarded a penalty which he calmly slotted home.

Setif controlled the rest of the match but could not add to their scoreline as Mazembe defended their win.

The match ended with the Raven fans nearly invading the pitch to celebrate with the players but were controlled by marshals.

The victory see the move top of the Group B standings, while Algeria giants Setif occupy the fourth spot.
