Trouble is looming at the Nigerian team at the Olympics after revelations that some of the officials are not happy with the fine run of the eagles team in Rio.
According to Nigerian top newspaper ,The Vanguard one Dr. Sanusi has allegedly instructed one of the federation’s staff attached to the team, Siji Lagunju to return some of the jerseys meant for matches yet the matches are still on.
The source further reveals that this could have been related ton the story which broke yesterday that the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick has directed the secretariat to use the $60,000 grant recently received from CAF to pay the U23 team coaches a story the Federation has denied.
Nigeria have avoided hosts Brazil, but will come up against Denmark, who spanked them 6-2 in a recent friendly, for a place in the last four of Rio 2016 Olympics at the weekend.Nigeria lost their last group match 0-2 at the hands of Colombia,They however top the group on six points to now take on Denmark Saturday night in Salvador.
