Technical University of Kenya (TUK) thrash Jericho All Stars 3-1 to lift inaugural Sportpesa Super 8 Champions League at Nyayo stadium, Sunday, November 13,2016.

Second half goals from Calvin Odhiambo, Emmanuel Ateti and red hot Jeconiah Uyoga sealed the sweet victory for the university students, and Nairobi City bragging rights.

In a game of two halves, East Conference heavyweights Jericho All Stars bossed the first half while the West Conference big guns TUK, took charge of the other stanza.

Jericho had their moments with deadly striker Victor Walerah coming close a couple of times, but they couldn’t find the back of the net, TUK would respond through Jeconiah who was a handful for the opposing defense. The match ended 0-0 at half time.

In the second half, TUK were more enterprising, and deservedly took the lead in the 53rd minute through Calvin’s header before Ateti doubled the lead from Jeconiah’s assist.

Eddie Kirui pulled one back for Jericho in 86th minute but even before they could settle Jeconiah restored the two goals lead with a well taken strike from a solo run.

TUK takes home Kshs 500,000 and a glittering trophy courtesy of sponsors Sportpesa and Extreme Sports.
