Sportpesa Premier league leaders Gor Mahia bounced back from their shock 1:0 defeat at the hands of Mathare united over the weekend to wallop league debutants Kariobangi Sharks 3:1 in a KPL midweek clash played on Tuesday in Kisumu.

The 15-time league champions meant business from the onset and breaking the deadlock in the 11th minute courtesy of Rwandese international striker Jacques Tuyisenge before he added his second in the 20th minute and completed his hat-trick in the 34th minute.

The visitors Kariobangi Sharks grabbed their consolation goal in the second half but it was too little too late to mount a comeback.

Jacques Tuyisenge’s first hat-trick in Kenyan soil since his arrival from Rwandese top tier side Police FC moved Gor Mahia to 63 points and a step closer to claiming their 16th Premier League title.
