RETURN LEG: Comoros 3 Mozambique 0 (agg 5-2)

Comoros under-17 side dumped their Mozambique counterparts out of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Saturday.

Coming into this second leg, Comoros needed a goalless draw to qualify, and the Mozambique faithful froze when they went ahead in 12th minute.

Phayiz Charaf nodded the visitors into the lead 12th minutes into the opening half with Nadjim Soudjay doubling the score minutes into second have with a beuatiful free kick in the 57th but any resultant home nerves were almost cleared when Todisoa Razif almost found back of the net for but was ruled offside hardly two minutes later.

Mozambique went to full attack after the soaking second goal with great display from Rino and Mossa but they shots were easily saved by Yanime Ali at Comoros goal mounth.

It was never a convincing display for the Comoros inside a sparse Maputo Stadium but they managed to hold on.

Minutes before stoppage time a good combination upfront from Comoros youngsters closed the show with a nice goal from Rakibou Ali in the 90+4th minute to make it 3-0 to the visitors.

Comoros advance to third and final round of qualifiers and the winner over two legs will move on to the finals of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations due in Madagascar.
