Azam Uganda Premier League side, the Saints FC has announced the sacking of head coach Haruna Kebba and his assistant Mark Twinamatsiko. Kebba and Twinamatsiko together with club CEO Ahmed Kongola are accused of failure to win games.
The Saints have only managed two points from five league games and the management decided to relieve the three officials of their duties with immediate effect.
According to a statement posted on the club website on Friday afternoon, the management said they had to take action immediately for the benefit of the club.
‘’ The Saints Football Club would like to announce that Head Coach Mr. Haruna Kebba, Assistant Coach Mark Twinamatsiko and Club CEO Ahmed Kongola have left the club’’. The statement reads in part.
Club Chairman Johnson Musinguzi, at a meeting held at the Club Office at Namboole Stadium this morning, informed the three officials that their contracts were being terminated with immediate effect.
Musinguzi told club website; “the results over the last several games have not been good enough, we have to take the decisions now for the benefit of the club.’
Kebba joined the newly promoted club at the beginning of 2015/16 season but had failed to spur it to good performances while Twinamatsiko helped the Nambole based club to secure promotion to the top flight league.
The club is expected to officially announce former KCCA FC and Azam FC coach George Nsimbe as Kebba’s replacement while the other two officials’ replacements are not yet known.
We shall keep you posted as it all happens.
