Uganda Cranes lose at home to Togo,10 year unbeatedn record broken

Uganda Cranes perfect record in the ongoing Afcon 2015 qualifers ca,me tumbling when theyu fell 0-1 to visitors Togo in a highly pulsating game played at the Namboole Stadium on Saturday evening.The loss was also the first time Uganda Cranes lost at home in 10 years

The all important goal was scored by full back Donou Kokou who silenced the over 40 thousand fans at the Namboole Stadium.Donou Kokou put the Sparrow Hawks into the lead cutting across Walusimbi before firing a   low shot that beat an advancing Onyango in Cranes goal into the low corner tearing the net.

Emmanuel Adebayor’s 8th minute strike went wide after good but just four minutes later Tony Mawejje lost a glorious chance after getting a sublime pass from Moses Oloya.

In the second half Uganda Cranes played their hearts out but all their attempts were thwarted by the astute Togo keeper who kept them in the game.

Despite the loss Uganda Cranes remain top of Group E with four points and better goal difference from Ghana who were expected to play Guinea later in Cassabalanca.

.Uganda visits Togo in Lome on Wednesday looking for nothing but revenge to keep hopes of playing at the AFCON finals for the first time since 1978 alive.
