“Honeymoon is finished” Uganda Cranes manager Milutin “Micho” Sredojovic has declared as he plots for his next big assignment after qualifying for the Nations Cup, which is the road to 2018 Russia World Cup.

In getting ready for the monumental challenge, the Serbian has secured a camp in Togo and a friendly against the host “Sparrow Hawks” before they open their group “E” campaign against West African powerhouse Ghana early October.

Micho is describing the clash against the “Black Stars” as a “reality check” and a “collision with football truth”, none the less, he is delighted with the Togo camp as a step towards proper preparations for the tie.

“Honeymoon is finished, Ghana match will be a bold reality check and a collision with football truth; a genuine test of character and measurement of values,” Micho said.

“I am so happy that after a hard fight we have confirmed a camp in Togo and a friendly match on Tuesday 4th October, 2016 and from there we shall play Ghana in World cup qualifiers on 7th October 2016.” He added.

The fixture will be hosted at Tamale stadium in Ghana.

Other members of the group are; Egypt and Congo.

Cranes who sailed through to 2017 Gabon AFCON for the first time in 38 years in Sunday 4 at Namboole Stadium, have never been to the World Cup, while Ghana on the other hand were quarterfinalists in the 2010 edition in South Africa.
