Muhoroni Youth have confirmed the signing of two Ugandan strikers Steven Nesta Mugisha and Andrew Sekayombya.

Nesta is crossing over from Uganda Premier League where he played for Police FC in the just concluded 2015/16 season.

Andrew on the other hand has been around in the Kenyan top flight league for a while now where he turned out for Sony Sugar FC in 2015 and recently Posta Rangers.

He however fell out with the mail men in March prompting him to quit – citing frustrations over lack of play time and no pay.

The duo joins the “Cane Cutters” foward-line that is already boasting of the leading top scorer in the league Wycliffe Ochomo (10 goals).

Director Moses Adagala stated that the acquisitions are in line with the club’s “target chasing mission” as they look forward to the second stanza of the league beginning July 2.

Muhoroni Youth are placed sixth on the table standings with twenty points and a game at hand.

In other news, the Awasi side are fighting tooth and nail to hold on to their enterprising defender Wellington Ochieng’ – who is rumoured to be on the radar of Gor Mahia.

The former Agro Chemical FC player has been a pillar in the heart of defense – even scoring game deciders at critical moments.

Striker Calvince Omanga who’s found playtime hard to come by at Muhoroni side has been loaned to National Super League aide Nzoia Sugar FC for the remainder of the season.

Omanga was ropped in from Palos FC who then playing in the third tier league early this season – Palos have since joined the NSL.
