2017 Africa Cup of Nations new entrants Uganda  Cranes neighbours Kenya and Zambia have all dropped in the latest Fifa World rankings released today.

Uganda Cranes are the highest ranked team in East Africa at 6th followed by Kenya who have dropped 3 places to 91st.

Ethiopia follows closely at 125th moving four places up  while Burundi are 129 while Tanzania are ranked 132.

Sudan and South Sudan have faired poorly at 135th and 167th respectively.

Zambia  also dropped a place down to position 92 as Congo DR shot five places high to position 51 globally and sixth in the African continent.

Cameroon,  are placed 11th in the continent and 59th globally. After making it to their maiden AFCON competition, Guinea-Bissau shot two places up to position 73 globally despite losing their last group game at the hands of Congo.

The best ranked country in Africa is Cote D’Ivoire at 34th followed by Algeria (35th), Senegal (39th) and Ghana at 43rd.
