UGANDA: Uganda Cranes players 1000 dollars richer after downing Botswana

By Bonface Osano,

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo made good his promise to reward Cranes players handsomely if they beat Botswana in the AFCON 2017 qualifier match played on Saturday 13th at the Namboole Stadium.
Cranes didn’t disappoint as they convincingly beat the South Africans 2-0 prompting Magogo to splash the cash, to the delight of the national heroes who will be smiling all the way to the bank.
18 players who made it to Coach “Micho’s” final list each received 1000 dollars while remaining 7 who didn’t make the final cut pocketed  500 dollars apiece.
‘This is a marathon campaign. We have five more games to play. You need to report back on time as required by your club rules. Let’s not have issues with the clubs that did a good job of releasing you for national duty’  Magogo was quoted by FUFA’s official portal.
