Former Uganda Cranes inspirational skipper Ibrahim Sekagya last evening guided his New York Red Bull second team to the USL Eastern Conference Championship.

New York Red Bull 2 defeated Louisville 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

The former KCCA FC, State house FC, Arsenal De Sarandi and Salzburg defender retired as a player after playing two seasons for the New York Red Bull’s senior where he played with the likes of Thierry Henry, Shaun Wright Phillips, and was immediately made one of the coaches of the second team of the MLS side.
