Vital’O most trusted striker Laudit Mavugo last night landed at Julius Nyerere International Airport and was recieved by Simba SC vice president Geoffrey Nyange “Kaburu” and fans.

The Burundian is in Tanzania to complete a move to the Mzimbazi Red after failed trials in France with second division side Tours.

Mavugo has been a major target for the former Tanzania champions and it is believed the club paid part of his sign on fee last season but the player didn’t show up.

He is expected to put ink to paper today and close debate over his future.

For two seasons in a row, the 23 years old has been pivotal for the Bujumbura giants, scoring over 60 goals and guiding them to back to back league titles and President Cup runner up berth last season, losing to Messenger Ngozi in the final.

His chequered career has seen him trade in the Azam Rwanda Premier League with various clubs including AS Kigali, Kiyovu and Police FC.
