Burundi premier league also known as “Primus League” new 2016/17 season will kick off Saturday 10 in earnest with a match pitting defending champions Vital’O versus President Cup holders Messenger Ngozi at Stadium Prince Louis.
This will be the second meeting between the two rivals in less than a week; last week they curtained raised the new season with a clash in the Super Cup, in which Vital’O won via penalties to revenge the President Cup loss to the same opponent last season.
On Sunday, five more matches will be on the cards, with two others a day later on Monday.
