Controversy has marred the planned Mashemeji derby match between rivals AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia to be played on 26th at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County

FKF President Nick Mwendwa speaking to journalists during the official draw ceremony of the Sportpesa Shield Cup said that the planned Kenya Premier League clash has been postponed to pave way for the two international friendly match between Kenya and Swaziland

Mwendwa’s statements did not go well with the AFC Leopards National Executive Council who insisted that the planned League clash will go on

In a statement signed by the CEO,Leopards Football club have notified the public and football lovers that the match will be on and that they will not release players to the National team terming the friendly as funny .
