Week 14: Ghana Premier League Wrap-Up

The 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League keeps getting more fascinating and exciting as it entered Match Day 14 this week across nine league venues.


King Faisal are still without a win while Hearts of Oak recorded their biggest win in the ongoing campaign.


Yahaya Mohammed seems not to be giving Victorian Adebayor a sniff on the goalking chart as he netted away at Sogakope.


At the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu, Dreams FC went another week without a win after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Karela United FC.


Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs rallied from a goal down to beat Bottom-rotted King Faisal 2-1 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. 


Seidu Abubakari scored both goals for the Abontoa Abontoa Boys while Emmanuel Maidawa got the consolation for the Insha Allah’s lads.


Yahaya Mohammed pierced the hearts of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) with a 65th minute strike to give Aduana Stars a narrow 1-0 win at the RedBull Arena at Sogakope – His 11th in the ongoing league.


Ashanti Gold suffered their second home loss in the league following a 1-0 defeat to Bechem United, courtesy Prince Adu Kwabena – His 8th of the season.


Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways after three draws on the trot with a 4-0 hammering of Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.


Benjamin Afutu’s brace added to goals from Joseph Esso and Daniel Barnie handed the Phobians victory.


Berekum Chelsea took a leaf from Medeama SC and got themselves a 2-0 win over Legon Cities FC 2-0 at the Golden City Park. Kofi Owusu and Stephen Amankona socred both goals for the Bibires.


Medeama SC edged Eleven Wonders 2-0 at the Akoon Community Park in Tarkwa, thanks to goals from Kwasi Donsu and Isaac Agyenim Boateng in either half.


On Thursday, Victorien Adebayor continued his rampant scoring streak as he netted in Inter Allies 3-2 win over Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman. 


George Ansong bagged a brace for the Scientific Soccer lads while Samuel Armah and Mohammed Zakaria scored the other goals for the Capelli Boys.


Asante Kotoko couldn’t make it three wins in a row as they drew goalless with Elmina Sharks in an entertaining clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
