Williamson appointed Kenya Coach to replace sacked Amrouche

Football kenya Federation (FKF) have appointed Former Uganda Cranes and now Gor Mahia coach Scottish Bobby Williamson to take over from sacked Adel Amrouche .
Also appointed is Kenya’s longest serving captain for 13 years and the most capped player with 105 caps Musa “Otero”Otieno as the assistant coach while another former International Simon Mulama was appointed as the team manager.
The federation announced the new appointments barely 3 days after sacking enmasse the entire technical bench after Kenya was knocked out by Lesotho in an Afcon 2015 qualifer .
Announcing the new appointments FKF President Sam Nyamweya alluded to the fact that the trio were the most qualified to take over the reigns at Harambee Stars and their first assignment will be to prepare the team for the annual Cecafa senior challenge cup to be hosted in Ethiopia from November.
“We reached the decision to appoint the trio because of their vast experience and knowledge of the game.Williamson has many years experience incharge of Uganda whiile Musa Otieno and Simon Mulama served the country deligently over the years as players we will give them all the support as we look forward to forgetting the dissapointment of not qualfying for the group stages for Afcon 2015″‘Nyamweya said
Bobby Williamson won the Kenyan premier league with Gor Mahia on his maiden season 2013 and was also instrumental in ensuring Uganda won the regional Cecafa Seniior challenge cup 4 times under his reign .

Musa Otieno was a player at PSL side Santos for 13 years before joining the technical bench he however returned home in this year working as a football pundit with Supersport tv.
