In the Be Mobile Premiership, goals from Tumelo Mazebedi and Patrick Lenyeletse were enough to give Orapa United a 2-1 win over Gaborone United at the Itekeng

Stadium in the diamond rich region of Orapa. Zambian striker Ronald Chikomo watched the action from the Orapa bench.

Aaron Katebe watched from the stands as his new side Moghreb Atletico Tetouan put up a spirited fight to beat Egyptian club Smouha SC by a 2-1 score line in a CAF Champions League encounter at the Stade Saniat Rmel in Tetouan. The three points

earned mean TP Mazembe, Al Hilal and Moghreb AT are now level on points with 8 points each.

They’ll face a tricky trip to RD Congo after the International break for their final CAF Champions’ League group game against TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi.

MOZAMBIQUE

In the Mocambola, the Wedson Nyirenda coached Ferroviario da Beira side returned to winning ways at the expense of Costa do

Sol thanks to a second minute strike from Gildo, in a match went on to finish 1-0 at the Campo do Costa do Sol.

Jacob Mupeta played 90 minutes of the match for Ferroviario. Lineker Mwiikisa who was kept at bay by the Ferroviario defense

could not add to his 6 goal season tally, put in a 90 minute shift for Costa do Sol.

Former Power Dynamos F.C midfielder Thomas Nyirenda did not play and will only start featuring for the Wedson Nyirenda drilled team next season as his ITC was not processed in time during the transfer

window.

Costa do Sol are still leading the Mocambola log table with 35 points, 2 points ahead of second placed Liga Desportiva and 5 points ahead of Wedson Nyirenda’s Ferroviario da

Beira club who currently occupy 5th place, equal on points with his former club HCB de Songo.

Elsewhere in the Mocambola, Lewis Macha was not in the Ferroviário de Maputo squad

that defeated 1º de Maio Quelimane 3-1.

RD CONGO

TP Mazembe got silenced with a 1-0 defeat to Al Hilal in a CAF Champions League encounter that was played in the Sudanese

city of Omdurman. Rainford kalaba 17 played 90 minutes of the match for the Congolese giants while Given Singuluma and

Nathan Sinkala were unused subs and they watched the entire game from the Mazembe bench.

SOUTH AFRICA

In the Absa Premiership, Kennedy Mweene played 90 minutes of the game for Mamelodi Sundowns in their 4-2 victory over Bidvest

Wits at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

The Zambian shot-stopper has been in terrific form this season and continues to receive the nod ahead of his number 2 Dennis Onyango.

In the NFD, former Nchanga Rangers striker Bornwell Mwape sent a warning shot to the

National Team technical bench by kicking off his season campaign with a goal for Amazulu as they recorded a narrow 1-0 win

over Witbank Spurs at King Zwelithini Stadium in KZN.
