Zambia U-17 Coach, Numba Mumamba says he is satisfied with the measures undertaken by his team to avoid “age cheating” ahead of the 2017 Cosafa tournament in Mauritius.

Speaking to the press after the Junior Copper Bullet’s 7-1 win over Madagascar, Numba outlined serous measures his team went through in regards to curbing the rot.

He said, they wanted to avoid the drama of what happened last year, at the U-17 Cosafa Cup to repeat itself, when Zambia were disqualified for age cheating.

“This time around we were very seriously in terms of age cheating. We never wanted what happened last year to repeat this time around.

“These boys that we came with they underwent the MRI test. They were 23 of them; 3 of them failed the test and the rest, the 20 that we came with managed to pass the MRI test according to the results that was sent to CAF.

“So the boys that we came with here are very much young and we are very much with what they have done today,” said Numba Mumamba.
