By Bonface Osano,

Zambian Super League champions Zesco United has chose the longer and more sustainable route to success by signing three players from their youth academies in the just ended July transfer window.

Defender Shemmy Mayembe and midfielder Lackson Chewe joined from Zesco United Academy with striker Maybiu Kalengo signing from another feeder side Zesco Vic Falls, Livingston.

U20 goalkeeper Samson Banda and Nathan Bwalya have been loaned to Mufulira Wonderers for the remainder of the season.

The club also acquired the services of defender Emmanuel Mayuka from Division one side Kabwe Warriors on permanent transfer.

Zesco is on course to back to back league titles; they are currently top of the log with 40 points, four clear of second placed Power Dynamos.
