Zanaco are 4 points away from being crowned Champions of the MTN FAZ Super League for the year 2016.

Numba Mumamba’s side today play NAPSA Stars in a rescheduled week 28 fixture at Sunset Stadium.

A win for Zanaco and a draw against Lumwana Radiants on 30 November, 2016, would see them being crowned Champions of the Zambian Super League for the seventh time.

Zanaco  have been on top of the table for the majority of the season thanks to the high levels of consistency through out the team.

The likes of Saith Sakala, Aubrey Funga, Richard Kasonde, Isaac Chansa, Ziyo Tembo and Fackson Kapumbu are just part of what has brought success to Zanaco’s blistering season.

Zanaco have the most devastating attack in the League scoring 63 goals 7 more than second placed Nkana who have notched 56 goals.

They have the meanest defense too conceding 15 goals with Zesco United coming in second with 18 goals conceded.

Nkana are Zanaco’s nearest title rivals, the Reds from Kitwe 2 points behind and will be hoping the Bankers implode in their remaining 4 games.

However, Nkana only have a game to play on the last day of the season at Forest Rangers on 3 December 2016.

Zesco United have all but given up on their title ambitions.

The exertions in the CAF Champions league and the loss of George Lwandamina to Young Africans of Tanzania has some how shaken the core of this Zesco United side.

Team Ya Ziko’s hopes of retaining the title went up in smoke at Shinde Stadium when they lost 0-1 to Mufulira Wanderers.

Transfer rumors involving 2 key players, Jesse Were and Misheck Chaila have made rounds in the media but the two players were quick to put those matters to rest yesterday.

In videos posted on the clubs official Facebook page both players labeling the transfer talks as mere falsehoods.

However, it is without a doubt that Zesco have a talented team and the depth of the squad is immense.

The Ndola giants will now aim to finish in second when they face Kabwe Warriors at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium this afternoon.

Stand in coach Tenant Chembo has an important task of rallying his boys against a Warriors side that is unbeaten in their last 4 matches.
