Zimbabwe FA President Kamambo arrested

ZIFA President Felton Kamambo and his acting deputy Philemon Machana were arrested on Monday after they contravened the Postal and Telecommunications Act.

The two administrators sent telephone messages, insulting their predecessor Phillip Chiyangwa who reported the case to the police.

Kamambo and Machana appeared before the Harare magistrate court on the same day and were granted $500 bail each. They will be back in court on January 9, 2020, for trial commencement.

The Zifa boss is accused of making false claims against Chiyangwa when he accused him of stealing the association’s money.

Machana is also facing similar charges after he sent messages, insulting the COSAFA president on November 19.
