Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Issah Mumuni has returned to first team training with the club and he is available for selection after serving his internal suspension. The diminutive midfielder was
suspended from the club after an
off-the-field incident in match-day 21 of the First Capital Plus Premier League, but though he returned to training soon after the incident, he was barred from featuring in competitive matches of the club.
Mumuni has finished serving his suspension and he is hoping to be involved in the final two games of the season.

“I am very happy to be back from
suspension. I missed training; I missed my colleagues, everybody in the squad, and the feeling of the training ground,” he told Accraheartsofoak.com. “It was difficult for me to be on suspension whilst my playing mates were playing, taking bonuses [and the rest] but there was nothing I could do.

“I will like to thank all my fans – those who supported me during this difficult time in my life especially the supporters from Kumasi, Obuasi and all my colleagues. I thank everybody for supporting me during my time of
need. “I thank those who offered words of support and advice for me especially the technical team. Coach Eddie Ansah was advising me most of the time and encouraging me so I thank him for
supporting me. I thank everybody who was there for me.

“I am back to support my team so that we can fight against the relegation threat. We want to remain in the Premier division next season so I am back to work
hard and support my team so
that we can get the maximum six points to our two remaining matches.

Mumuni concluded: “I want all the fans to come to the Accra Sports Stadium this coming Sunday to see good football with good results too.”
