The football pitch at the Accra Sports Stadium is near completion ahead of the 2018 Total African Women’s Cup of Nation (AWCON).

The re-grassing of the pitch which started some months ago by Green Grass Technology (GGT) is taking shape, looking greener than before.

The seats at the spectator stands have been repainted with broken ones fixed. Also, the digital scoreboard and floodlights have experienced a facelift.

Cape Coast Sports Stadium, the other venue for the tournament is also taking shape.

The Black Queens have been camping for some time following their nationwide tour where they were involved in some low friendly matches.

Coach Bashir Hayford’s ladies are expected to play some high profile games before the competition starts.

Ghana will be hosting the 11th edition of 2018 Total African Women’s Cup Of Nations for the first time and are joined by seven other nations – Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Mali, Cameroon, Algeria and Equatorial Guinea.

The competition will run from November 17 to December 1.
