Report by Maurice Ochome

As the curtains come down today we wish to thank all the teams that participated in this wonderful event of Term 2B Games in Nyeri.

We also wish to congratulate  the teams that emerged Champions in soccer, volleyball n racquet games.
In the Boys soccer final today, , former national Champions and Michael Olunga’s former school, Upper Hill came from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw against former  East African Champions and football power house St Anthony’s Kitale that pushed the game into extra time and consequently penalty shootout.
The two teams recorded a similar result as they did in the group stage, after regulation time.
This was the second time that St Anthony  lost
in the finals after they did so against Nyanza kings, Thur Gem in 2004 .
We also extend our sincere gratitude to our fellow colleague teachers and  coaches who sacrificed their time in scouting talent and coaching the players.
To the soccer lovers , I tell you that you would be left wondering where these talents go to after school and why our KPL cannot match the level of entertainment that was witnessed at the nationals.
One thing that was worth noting is the relative age of the players this time round.
The players were generally younger compared to previous years.
