CAF CL: KCCA bundled out by Petro de Luanda

CAF Champions League came to an abrupt end after they laboured to a 1-1 draw with Angola’s Petro de Luanda The Lugogo side that drew 0-0 in the first leg in Luanda a week ago, needed to win to qualify but they were eliminated on away goals rule despite putting up an improved performance in the second half. 

KCCA FC who looked dejected after the final whistle should have had a penalty after defender Wilson Pinto handled the ball twice in the box but the centre referee from Mauritius Ahmad Imtehaz Heeralall waved play on.

 However, Petro were awarded a penalty in the 25th minute after Lukwago brought down Mensah in the box. Captain Job Estevao stood up to take the penalty thus giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.  KCCA tried to bounce back in the second half with the introduction of Sadat Anaku and Simon Sserunkuuma for Jackson Nunda and Herbert Achai respectively.
