The date for AFCON 2017 group “D” qualifier between hosts Uganda Cranes and Comoros remains Sunday, September 4.

However, the kick off time for the match scheduled for Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole has changed to 5:00PM local time as confirmed by the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo;

“It is now official from CAF that Uganda versus Comoros is at 5pm on Sunday 4th September 2016 Namboole. Disregard all previous communications.” Magogo posted on Facebook.

The match that could return Cranes back to AFCON since 1978 was previously communicated to begin at 8:00 PM under floodlights after being pushed forward by a day, a move the federation protested.

Uganda on 10 points same as Burkina Faso are all poised to make it to Gabon next year.
