Zambian forward, Lewis Macha and ABSA Premiership of South African league giants Kaizer Chiefs have part ways on mutual consent.

“Amankosi” revealed the release of Macha and other six players courtesy of their official website.

The statement reads “Lewis Macha’s contract will be terminated by mutual consent following meetings between club management and the player’s respective representatives.”

Club manager Bobby Motaung told the official website that, the players [Including Macha] did not enjoy game time in the just ended 2016-17 ABSA PSL, hence Kaizer Chiefs resorted to cut ties with them–for the best intrest of both parties.

“These players have contracts with the Club but they did not enjoy sufficient game-time during last season and we felt it would be in their best interests as well as ours for them to pursue their careers elsewhere,” said Football Manager Bobby Motaung.

Macha switched to Kaizer Chiefs from Ferroviaro De Maputo in Mozambique ahead of the 2016-17 ABSA PSL.
