City Stars has part ways with coach Gabriel Kingi Njoroge on mutual constant.

SportPesa Premier League basement side City Stars has part way with coach Gabriel Kingi Njoroge on mutual constant. Kingi the former Mathare Youth and Mathare United coach join the long list of coach that have been showed the door at the Kawangare based. The list including Nigerian Robinson Ndubuisi, Tim Bryett, Joseph Jagero, Paul Nkata and now Gabriel Kingi Njoroge.

Kingi was appointed as the club’s coach in July 10 following the unexpected exit of Ugandan Paul Nkata who went to Muhoroni Youth. His first game was a 1-1 draw away to fellow bottom table side Nakuru All Stars. He went on to manage in 10 other Kenyan Premier League matches, losing 6, drawing three and winning only two matches.

In a statement posted on the club’s official website Chairman Peter Jabuya , the club said: “It was a mutual understanding. We felt he had done his best for the club. We needed something new as well as to think on the way forward. We appreciate his effort and contribution to the team and wish him all the very best in his future.”.
Kingi’s last day on the touchline came in a two-all draw with Thika United on Friday 11 September.
