How would an African Cup of Nations finals be without Claude Le Roy? The French technician who has been a coach of Senegal, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Togo which he currently holds reins is preparing to participate in the 9th African Cup of Nations as a coach with a sixth country!

Claude Le Roy has had impressive record with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon guiding them to the top by clinching the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations trophy and other 8 time participation.This time he will be trying to consolidate that in Gabon next January with the Hawks having reached the quarter-finals on seven occasions.

At 68, the ‘White Witch’ has lost none of the enthusiasm of the beginning. He took to the reign of misfiring Togolese team managing to infuse the Hawks to restore a winning spirit that allowed them to defeat the odds and win their ticket for Gabon in 2017 by finishing second best second of the playoffs with 11 points.
