Former national soccer governing body (FUFA) president Lawrence Mulindwa has been appointed Cecafa vice chairman with immediate effect the Chairman Leodegar Tenga revealed.
Mulindwa’s elevation comes after he was elected on the Cecafa executive in November 2013 in Nairobi during the yearly general assembly.
Lawrence Mulindwa stepped down as FUFA president in 2013 after nine years at the helm of the local governing body.
His exit paved way for current president Moses Magogo to take over leadership of FUFA.According to the appointment letter from Cecafa, Mulindwa took charge of his new role on Wednesday to begin his duties at the regional body.
