Ghana national U-20 soccer team, the Black Satellites of Ghana have been placed in Group B of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations.

The draw which took place on Monday, Nov 12 in the Togolese capital – Lome saw the Two-time African champions battle it out with Niger, Nigeria and Benin.

Tournament host – Togo will rub shoulders with Cote d’voire, Burkina Faso and Senegal, who are tournament guest from WAFU Zone A.

Group A teams are expected to touch down in Lome on Dec 3 whereas Group B teams are also expected to arrive the following day.

The competition will hold from December 6-16, 2018.

The head coach of the respective nations have a week – Nov 20-27 to present their squad for the 10-day tournament.

Head coach Jimmy Cobblah and his charges would use this tournament as part of preparation for next year’s Total African U-20 Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Niger.

The 2019 Afcon U-20 championship in Niamey will run from February 24 to March 10.

The championship will serves as qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland in May.
