Chairman Gogo Boys Football Club Mr. Omar Abdul Suleiman and Chairman Of As Swafaa Football Club Mr. Bashir Hussein have both been on the forefront in nurturing talent at the grassroots level since time Immemorial. Mr. Suleiman was also the coach of As Swafaa FC and many players passed through his hands. He took As Swafaa to the international stage when he Coached them in tournaments in Egypt and the Middle East.

Mr. Bashir Hussein on the other hand boasts a rich history in grassroots football, a feat that saw him rise through the ranks in Kenya’s Football Administration to become the present day FKF Nairobi West branch’s Chairman in charge of the county league in which both Gogo Boys FC and As Swafaa FC participate in.

Today they celebrate their achievements as they rally behind their teams in this year’s Edition of the Kibra Derby.

Perhaps the most fascinating fact about the #KibraDerby is the history of the two Youthful Managers who will be in charge of the two rival teams. Sahin Dunchez Luvai, As Swafaa FC’s Head Coach, and Wilbur Advicer Chisira the Man with the masterplan for Gogo Boys FC.

They are both longtime friends and graduates of another football giant, Kibra Uweza Academy which is under the stewardship of yet another football legend Stam Kaindi, who is the Langata sub branch chairman.

Despite their history the two youthful coaches would be battling it out against each other this weekend and there will be no holds barred.

Don’t let their youthful faces fool you. They both are qualified and up-to the task. Just recently they graduated from an FKF run basic coaches training with flying colors.

Luvai has kept As Swafaa in the competitive county league for two consecutive seasons avoiding relegation. Chisira has won his six out of seven matches in charge of Gogo Boys FC. Who among the two comrades will topple the other.
