Gor Mahia finally jet out to Rwanda for CAF assignment

Gor Mahia finally jet out to Rwanda for CAF assignment

by Agnes Amondi

Gor Mahia has named 18 players who have already jetted out on Friday morning to Rwanda for its continental assignment. On Saturday, the reigning Kenya Premier League champions will face APR in Kigali in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

The trip to Kigali had been delayed. Firstly, soka25east.com understands that players were on a go slow demanding full payment of their allowances. Secondly, COVID-19 tests had not taken place on Wednesday as scheduled as a result of the first circumstance.

However, everything seems to have been sorted out, at least for the moment and K’Ogalo finally left for Rwanda.

Stand-in coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo will be on the touchline for this match after Brazilian head coach Roberto Oliviera, was barred from overseeing the game by CAF for failure to meet the required coaching standards.
