Highlanders came from behind to complete a season double over Dynamos following a 2-1 win at Barbourfields on Sunday.

After Masimba Mambare had punished his former paymasters with a 28th minute goal, to thrust Dynamos ahead, Tendai Ndlovu relied for Highlanders on 75 minutes before veteran forward Ralph Matema rose from the bench to seal victory for Highlanders ten minutes before time.

With Highlanders having beaten Dynamos in the reverse fixture in Harare in May, it became the first time since 2006 for the Bulawayo giants to post a double over their archrivals.

Interestingly, in that year 2006, Highlanders went on to win the league title which they have not laid their hands on since today.

Now they are six points behind leaders FC Platinum with seven games remaining.
