The Secretary General of Indeni Roses football club, Samuel Zulu has thrown his weight on the calls for CAF to start a Women’s Champions league in Africa.

Many people are calling on the Confederation of African football to start a tournament for women’s football clubs and Mr Samuel Zulu is in full support of that.

In an exclusive interview with soka25east.com, Mr Zulu said introducing a CAF Champions league will make women’s football in Africa so competetive.

“CAF at the moment are doing well but what is needed is the introduction of a CAF Champions league, this will make African clubs more competitive. If they do it other nations will be more interested to join trust me,” said Samuel Zulu.

Asked about how many women’s clubs from Zambia would be ready to participate, Mr Zulu pointed out on his team Indeni Roses, Zesco Ndola Girls and Red Arrows ladies.

Speaking as a Football Association of Zambia cordinator, he said the afformentioned clubs are more capable because they have the budget needed to travel for away matches across Africa.

“In Zambia Zesco, Red Arrows, Green Buffaloes and Indeni Roses are ready even this year looking at their budgets,” answered Mr Zulu.
