Jordan Ayew makes history, now Ghana’s topscorer in the Premier League

Forward Jordan Ayew has become Ghana’s topscorer in the English Premier League with 25 goals.

The 28 year-old Ghanaian made history after scoring in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win over AS Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening.

Jordan takes his goal tally for the season to 9.

Anthony Yeboah, who held this record until today has dropped to second with 24 goals. The powerful striker played for Leeds United between 1995 to1997.

Dede Ayew on third with 21 goals. The talented midfielder scored in Swansea City’s 3-0 win away at Middlesbrough on the resumption of the English Championship.

Michael Essien, who played for Chelsea FC between 2005 to 2014 occupies the fourth spot with 17 goals.

Ex-Sunderland frontman and Ghana’s topscorer with 51 goals, Asamoah Gyan locked on 5th with 10 goals. The 34 year-old played for the Black Cats for just a year; 2010-2011.
