Kakamega Homeboyz dislodge ZOO Kericho at the top of the FKF Premier league table

Kakamega Homeboyz displaced Zoo Kericho at the top of the FKF PL after beating beating Modern Coast Rangers 0-3 away in Mombasa. The win sends the Kakamega based side above Zoo Kericho on goal difference. In other matches played at various venues, Oserian beat visiting Ligi Ndogo 3-2 while Nzoia picked maximum points away at Nairobi Stima.Nakumatt beat West Kenya Sugar 1-0.

Modern Coast Rangers 0-3 Kakamega Homeboyz

Modern Coast Rangers suffered their second loss in a row when they were hit by 3-0 by visiting Homeboyz in a one sided match played at the Mombasa County stadium today.Keiphas Baraza scored in the 23rd and 42nd minutes of the first half as the Western boyz lead 2-0 at the breather. The brace stretched the leagues’ top scorer’s tally to 11 so far.On resumption, lethal striker Denis Mukaisi scored the third in the 77th minute and out of reach for the coast based side. The loss has not changed the position of Modern Coast Rangers as they lie second from bottom with 10 points after playing 13 matches.

Oserian   3-2 Ligi Ndogo

The ‘old Trafford’ grounds in Naivasha was a real battle field as hosts Oserian were made to fight hard to beat visiting Ligi Ndogo 3-2 in a tense encounter that saw Peter Chesoli score in the decisive goal in 83rd minute after both teams were headed for a draw .Oserian were the first to score when John Mbogo scored in the 25th minute to a Half time lead.Peter Chesoli added the second 9 minutes into the second half before Brian Yator reduced the the deficit when he scored two minutes later.Hussein Hassan leveled the scores in the 62nd minute before Peter Chesoli’s winner .Oserian moves to the 10th position in the log with 15 points, a point ahead of Agro Chemicals.Ligi Ndogo remains at the 13th position.

Nakumatt FC 1-0 West Kenya Sugar

Nakumatt FC fine run in the FKF PL continued when they beat stubborn West Kenya Sugar 1-0 in a tightly contested match that was played at the Ruaraka Stadium in Nairobi. The lone goal of the match was slotted in by Peter Nzuki in the 65th minute of the game. The win sends them to the 7th position with 18 points, one ahead of West Kenya Sugar.

Nairobi Stima   1-2 Nzoia FC

Nairobi Stima poor run continued when they lost 1-2 at home to visiting Nzoia FC from Western. The Bungoma based side had to come from a goal down to win the exiting match played at the Machakos County Stadium. Paul Musamali put Stima ahead in the 52nd minute after a goalless first half. The tidings however changed when man of the match Valen Mahero scored a brace in the 73rd and 82nd minutes to give Nzoia maximum points.Nzoia are now 4th in the log with 23 points.

In other matches to be played on Sunday, Bidco FC who sacked their coach last week will entertain bottom placed FC Talanta while struggling St Josephs of Nakuru play host to Posta Rangers at Afraha.Zoo Kericho welcomes Kariobangi Sharks at their Green Stadium as MUSCA will be in Naivasha to battle it out with Finlays
